Delete your 12andus account

This page explains how to delete the account you created in the 12andus app (by Apogeeks Pte. Ltd.) or on 12andus.com, and what happens to your data when you do.

How to delete your account

In the app:

Open the 12andus app and sign in
Open the menu (⋮) and choose Settings
Choose Delete account and confirm

On the web:

Sign in at 12andus.com
Go to https://12andus.com/selfdelete and confirm

If you can no longer sign in, email support@12andus.com from the address you registered with and ask for your account to be deleted.

What is deleted

Your profile identity: display name, username, email address and avatar
All birth data you entered (dates, times and places of birth, for you and the people in your private list)
Your friend connections, saved readings, and personal annotations
Any active subscription is cancelled as part of the deletion

What is kept, and for how long

Your account is hidden from other members immediately, and the data above is held for a further 90 days before it is erased — long enough to undo a deletion made by mistake, and to stop someone deleting an account to escape a block. After 90 days it is gone
Purchase and payment records are retained as long as tax and accounting law requires, then removed
A minimal internal record of the deleted account is kept to prevent abuse (for example, blocking banned users from re-registering)
Messages you sent to other members remain in those members' inboxes, no longer attributed to your identity
Residual copies in automatic backups are rotated out within 30 days

Deleting some data without deleting the account

You can remove individual birth-data entries, saved readings and uploaded photos in the app at any time, without deleting your account. For any other partial-deletion request, email support@12andus.com.
