Mercury transiting in Aquarius may have you feeling on top of the world, as if you're both brilliant philosophers at 3 AM passionately debating the merits of extra-terrestrial life. But, hitching a ride on this intellectual rollercoaster can cause some turbulence when it is quincunx your composite Lunar Node, which is lodged in home-loving Cancer. Here, we have a classic scenario of the head and the heart at odds.

You will face a confrontation between the new age of Aquarian ideas, asking you to pack your bags, step onto a spaceship and blast off into the stratosphere, and Cancerian loyalties, tugging at your heartstrings to build a shelter out of pasta noodles in the soft folds of your grandma's quilt. Quite the conundrum, isn't it? This echoes the feeling of eating sugar-free ice-cream - your brain promptly applauds your healthy choice, but your taste buds are left lamenting.

If you visualize the quincunx aspect as a satnav system in the car, the signs and omens are there but at the crossroads, the GPS signal is pitifully weak, in Mars retrograde sort-of-weak. You risk getting lost in a digital voice loop of "rerouting" as you try and find the balance.

This transit brings opportunities soaked with intellectual stimulation, but it's on you to ensure they don't overshadow emotional introspection. Have fun with your Aquarian moment. Dance with the innovative ideas it brings along, but remember, as the rhythm of Mercury's techno beat subsides, give the comforting lullaby of the Cancerian moon her chance to hum you both back to strong emotional bonds.

Mercury in Aquarius will inspire dazzling Matrix-like code conversations that can feel convincingly expansive but recognize that the Lunar Node in Cancer wants to ensure that you two lovebirds settle in a snug nest, not in a cold, vast expanse of the cosmos. Unless it has central heating, of course. It's about managing the light speed leaps of techno-thought with the slower bobbing of the emotional tugboat. Balance is key, and remember, even ET eventually came home.
