A month of transits to your own chart: where the planets will be, which of your own planets and angles they touch, and when. It is calculated from a birth date, time and place rather than from a sun sign, so no two charts get the same month.
A month is the natural unit for this. The Sun crosses a whole sign in one, Venus and Mars perfect their aspects and move on, and Jupiter and Saturn move just enough for a contact to become exact and then start separating. Everything the month has to say is visible inside it, which is not true of a day and is only half true of a week.
Read the exact dates first. A slow transit that has been in orb for weeks becomes exact on a particular day, and that is usually when whatever it describes stops being background and becomes an event you can name. The rest of the month is the approach to it and the settling afterwards.
Then read the houses. A month with three transits through the sixth house is a month about work and health whatever else is going on; a month with everything in the fourth is about home. This is the part of a monthly reading that tells you where to look, and it needs a birth time to exist.
Without a birth time the chart is cast for noon: the planetary aspects still stand, the Moon may be a few degrees out, and the houses and Ascendant are withheld rather than guessed. That is a real monthly reading with one of its two questions unanswered — what, but not where.
A month of transits says what the month is asking. It does not say what will happen in it, and a difficult month is not a warning any more than an easy one is a promise — both describe conditions, and what is done in them is not in the chart.
No. It is calculated from your whole birth chart, so two people of the same sign born a week apart get different months, and two born the same day in different places get different houses.
The dates when a slow transit becomes exact, and the houses with the most traffic. Those two answer when and where, which is more than most monthly readings attempt.
For the aspects, no. For the houses and the Ascendant, yes — and in a monthly reading the houses are the half that says which part of your life the month is about.
Yes. Any month is one control away, and reading a month you remember is the quickest way to see whether the technique is telling you anything.
